First home buyer options
The Australian Government has some great schemes available to both Australian and New Zealand citizens to help them into their first home.
5% deposit no LMI.
2% deposit single parent scheme.
0% deposit guarantor scheme.
There are also stamp duty (Tax) concession available, this is different in all states but could save you up to $20,000.

NZ Kiwi Saver
If you have Kiwi saver in NZ, you can transfer it to an Australian Super company and if approved by the ATO use $15K/person ($30K partners) to help with a home deposit. This potentially means you could purchase a $500K home with your Kiwi saver alone, more if you have a deposit saved.
If you are a first home buyer you could purchase a $700k home in Qld by using the 5% Oz gov scheme and save $47K in LMI and Stamp duty.

A little background on Agility Mortgages
My Wife Tania, children and I moved from the Waikato, NZ to the Gold Coast, Australia to access treatment for our disabled son. Unfortunately, at the time NZ didn't fund a treatment, which is a far too familiar story for a lot of Kiwis.
